Room 405

Meet Mrs. Blankevoort

This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade at WCCS. Each year has been exciting and memorable and I have been lucky to teach such wonderful kids. WCCS is truly a place where I enjoy being around such caring staff, faculty and parents.

I grew up in Mount Washington (near Eagle Rock), but now live in Sierra Madre with my husband, Alex, and our cat, Gandolf the Gray. We also recently had an addition to our family, our daughter, Lucciana Marja. We call her Lucy and she was born on December 31, 2008.

In my free time I like to scrapbook, read and travel. I have been to Hawaii, many parts of Europe and Asia, inlcuding Italy, Holland, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

Here is a little more about my educational background. In June 2002, I graduated from Cal State Los Angeles with a degree in child development. I also have a California Multiple Subject teaching credential. I look forward to furthering my education throughout my career.

In my class, I promote an environment of respect for each other, safety and friendship. I work hard to make sure students feel safe and secure in my care. Throughout the year we work on building others up and  working as a team.
